I think I have finally taken leave of my senses (not that I had much to leave), as I am actually looking forward to the cross country and moreover I'm actually going to volunteer rather than wait to be press-ganged !
Count me in.

Hey... thanks for your support Rebecca, it is greatly valued. Sorry I have not replied before now, I have been a bit busy with stuff. We did well in the XC last season, so lets hope we have another good season of it, the good thing about doing the same courses year in year out, is that we do get to know the courses & know whats in store. I always look at my time for the previous year, so I know roughly how long I have to endure the pain for! That seems to make it easier to handle for. Maybe its a mental thing, or maybe I am just mental !?

Sod it! , suppose it's all about "lead by example - and all that jazz" but count me in!
AND IF I AM GOING TO MAKE AN ASS OF MYSELF IN THE MUCK THEN SO CAN YOU!
On a very more serious note, those of you who know that I have this CCS condition will only too appreciate that "I don't do too well on the off roadie stuff" HOWEVER, I was last year inspired by our ever popular DAVE MOIR who completed the whole series. To be honest and by his own admission Dave is not the racing snake he used to be (or ever was, sorry Dave!) but he totally appitimised the Darwen Dashers as did many others and as much as I could stand on the side, cheer on and say "well done" thought, "****** 8^*$^$£ and a few other things but basically changed my whole opinion of the cross country.
I was so used to the cut throat Gwent and Southern Counties league and just how much I hated being lapped 10 TIMES by some scranny spotty (won't say little ) git!
ANYWAY
We are in the "user friendly" Red Rose League", no divisions, just turn up and run.
COME ON EVERYONE, THE WOMENS DISTANCE IS ONLY 3 MILES AND YOU CAN STAND ROUND AND LAUGH AT ME AS i SWEAR MY WAY ROUND!
It is a cracking Saturday afternoon out, all tha races are really local and in true, true Dashers fashion I am sure we will end up in a watering hole somewhere................................possibily on Pole Lane
First up and most local WITTON PARK BLACKBURN SAT OCT 7th
